Video For Advocacy, Resistance, + Self-Empowerment. Evening 1 AIDS: VCR ACTIVISM + DOCUMENTATION Collected works by video documentarians/AIDS activists who are creating chronicles of resistance based on the perspective of those on the "inside" of the issue such as representatives of the group ACT-UP, the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power. Evening 2 DEEP DISH TV Cable access television from across the country created by independent producers who are using public access to build an ongoing alternative television network. Evening 3 RISE N' SHINE PRODUCTIONS A video literacy project from the New York City public schools. Students represent issues in their own lives by writing, directing and scoring the work.
